Heritage Open Days

Every year during September, Open Days are organised for members of the public to explore Reading's heritage, as part of England’s annual heritage festival.  All Heritage Open Days events are free to attend, but charity donations are accepted at some events.

In 2024, the various Open Days around Reading take place between Friday 6th September and Sunday 15th September.  Refer to the PDF document (5.3MB) below.

The Open Day at St Michael's Church – 'A Celebration of Creativity' – is on Saturday 14th September from 10:00am until 4:00pm - click here for more details.
