Parish Magazine
A parish magazine St Michael's Church News is normally produced six times a year (on alternate months) subject to the necessary editorial and production work being undertaken by volunteers.
At present, the production of the magazine is on hold due to a shortage of volunteers to compile, edit and produce the magazine. If you would like to offer your time on a voluntary basis to assist with this work, please do get in touch with one of the Churchwardens (see the Contact Us webpage).
The magazine contains reports on the activities of church groups, often with photos, information about forthcoming church events, as well as more general church and parish issues and advertisements for local businesses. It is lightened by occasional cartoons and 'laugh lines'.
Subscribers can receive printed copies of the magazine delivered to their door (or posted to them if they live further from church), or an electronic version sent to them by email.
The magazine is typically 36-40 A5 pages, with a colour cover, and sometimes with colour pages inside. Free copies at made available to the local library and other places where magazines are available to read, such as estate agents and hairdressers. Though it is primarily aimed at current church members, copies are also posted to former members of St Michael's who have moved away but want to keep in touch with what is going on.
A few copies of issues from past months are normally freely available in the church, and a slightly abridged, web-friendly version is published on this website (see the Magazine webpage).
If you would like to receive the magazine, or submit an article, please get in touch with the Church News editorial team (see the Contact Us webpage).
