Hiring the Church Hall

Due to COVID-19, some of our regular hirers may be unable to meet at present, so we have some availability. We may be able to accept bookings for organised groups which meet the criteria laid down in the Government guidance. Groups will need to satisfy us that they have an adequate risk management plan in place. To discuss availability, please use the Booking Request Form at foot of this page to contact us.

Step 1 - Check Availability

If you would like to hire the main hall, or another room in the Church Hall, please first check its availability on your proposed dates in the Church Hall Calendar.

Step 2 - Check Charges

The prices in this table are ONLY A GUIDE to the charges for hiring the main hall and/or other rooms. There is a separate charge for the kitchen depending on usage. If you have any questions about charges, please complete the enquiry form (see Step 4).

These prices are applicable to single-hire bookings after 1st July 2022 (and also to regular-hire bookings after 1st September 2022).

Step 3 - Read Important Documents

Conditions For Hire (revised June 2022) A hall booking is a contractual agreement with St Michael's Church, which is a UK Registered Charity (Charity Commission Registration Number 1131421). The document includes a written undertaking which must be printed, signed and returned by the hirer.
COVID-19 Supplementary Hall Hire Conditions (revised May 2022) - These extra requirements are designed to ensure the safety of all Hall users and compliance with Government guidance. Choose either the version for One-off Hirers or the version for regular hirers. The documents include a written undertaking which must be printed, signed and returned by the hirer.
Health & Safety Briefing Notes for people who hire or hold events at the Church Hall We want all Hall users to enjoy their event safely.

Please note

The Parish Office will be closed from midday on Friday 11 April 2025 until 9am Monday 28 April 2025. No new hall bookings will be accepted or processed during this time.
Viewings of Room 3 and the main Hall are possible on Friday mornings at 10.00am by appointment only.
We can only accept booking requests via the web site form. Hall bookings and payment cannot be taken over the phone or directly with the Parish Office.
