Church Services - During the Restoration period.

St Michael's Tilehurst Restoration

There has been a church of St Michael at Tilehurst since 1189. Over the years it has been lovingly extended and beautified, especially in Victorian times. It is now entering a new stage of restoration for the 21st century. In order to do this the church will be closed immediately after Christmas 2011. It is planned to re-open for worship at Easter 2012.

Church life will go on of course. From 28th December 2011 Wednesday morning Eucharist and other midweek and Sunday evening services will be held in the Morlais Room beside the church.

From Sunday 1st January 2012 the 8.00am and 9.30 am services will be held in the Church Hall on the Meadway.

These changes involve considerable effort for many. I do hope that you will be able to join us for worship that will feel different, but is essentially offered to the glory of God. Many thanks again to all who have worked so hard to get us to this stage.

John Rogers, Rector
